Professional Image Editor’s Guide to the Creative Use of Photoshop for the Mac and PC

This book by Martin Evening is one of the better books I’ve seen for Photoshop! Normally all the books I see talk about beginner or intermediate issues. This one tries to tackle more difficult tasks and explains the user how to do this with Photoshop. The examples used are real-world examples and not only how to get a drop shadow on a button. They are more targeted to the digital-darkroom.

A lot of people rate this book low although I cannot imagine that. It’s probably because the issues covered in this book are a bit more technical then the average Photoshop book.

The book is printed in full colour and thats probably the only way a book on photo’s and graphics should be delivered. Although some times I had a bit of a problem to see the difference between the before and after version of an image.

My conclusion (as ET would say): Highly recommended
