Nikon Face-priority AF

March 7, 2005 | Comments (0)
Nikon has introduced a new gimmick in the Coolpix line of cameras: “Face-priority AF”. It is primarily intended to get sharp portrait images. It looks like Nikon is using the Coolpix line to introduce new and advanced firmware to distinguish from its competitors. The last previous in its software was red-eye reduction inside the camera. See Nikon Imaging for the full press release.
