A Guide to Giving and Getting Advice Successfully

I recently finished this book for the second time. This is one of the most entertaining books I have read from which you can learn something! It shows consulting by a number of laws, humor and wisdom. A few of my favourites are:

The wider it spreads, the thinner is gets — The Law of the Raspberry Jam

It really contains some of those little secrets which you’d ever wanted to know and that actually work! Reading the book you probably know why some of your advice worked in the past and why some didn’t. The book does not only apply to consultants but probably in a lot of proffessions. Although it was written in 1986 it is still very usable. A MUST READ!

The Second Law of Consulting — No matter how it looks at first, it’s always a people problem.
