“Music, photos and video. From your sofa.”

Check out Apple’s new Front Row application!. It is included with Apples new G5 iMacs and includes a really simple remote control. Instead of the normally 50 buttons, this on has only six! It starts an iPod like user interface (in black) and allows you to control all your media on your iMac. The only killer feature missing is a TV Tuner. This is really a missed opportunity. If this was included it could replace a number of devices in my home, like video recorder, dvd player etc…

Apple Remote

All happy users of an iMac bought in 2005 can upgrade for only $29.00 according the disclaimer on apple store:

“Compatible with Apple products introduced in 2005 or later that have a built-in Infrared (IR) receiver.”
