Thom's Nikon 2006 predictions

January 4, 2006 | Comments (0)
Thom’s 2006 predictions are online. For Nikon he expects only one new DSLR but no clue what it will be. Feel free and choose from: Nikon — the rumor persits — FM3D, Nikon — new entry level — D30, Nikon — yes, finally we have a fullframe — D3x or Nikon — do we want this 8mpix speed horse — D3h. I put my money on an ‘el cheapo’ D30.

I 'pick up the glove' (Dutchism):
No D30, what's the use of it when the D50 goes down to the 500 euro's range already? ET says: The D70s will be replaced by a D80, priced halfway D50 and D200. Let's say arpimd 1000 euro's body price. And by end of Q3 Nikon will anounce the full frame DSLR to be released Q1 2007.
All for a bottle of 'supermarket priced' Malbec.

Sorry, I forgot you were still waiting for a D50 priced Full Frame Nikon. But you are right, there is be quite a gap between the D70s and the D200.
