Nikon Teaser for the D80?

Eight days ago, Nikon put up a teaser for a forthcoming 10mpix camera. We assume that this is a marketing stunt to keep people away from the Sony α. The difference with this camera seems to be the missing curve on the popup flash. All recent Nikon show a curve which is absent on this camera.

Now the first images of the new camera start to appear on the web. It shows a combination of the best features of the Nikon D70s and Nikon D50. So this camera is not the $499 Nikon D30. My best guess would be the Nikon D90 (as we have the range 50, 70, 90, …). The images that have appeared on various websites (are photoshopped to?) show Nikon D80 as model.

I've seen a couple of different sets of pictures of the "D80" body. The two sets of pictures, on different sites, were both supposedly leaked "accidentally" show clearly different cameras. I'd say that we'll know what Nikon is up to when Nikon is really ready for us to know what Nikon is up to.
