Nikon Coolpix P5000 review

Nikon Coolpix P5000 (8kb)

Finally an interesting review on DPReview. Phil posted the review of the Nikon Coolpix P5000. This camera is for me the successor of the Coolpix 5400 — this is the camera I wanted to buy but I came home with the Coolpix 5700 instead.

The performance let down in focus speed and shutter lag. The camera is compared with the Canon G7 and does only offer .7 frames a second where the Canon copes with two frames a second. Looking at picture quality I think the Nikon has the advantage over the Canon, especially with higher ISO values.

My best feature of the camera — except for up to date technology like longer battery life — is the command dial…
