Nikon Coolpix 5400 Review posted on dpreview

July 8, 2003 | Comments (0)

Today the Nikon Coolpix 5400 Review was posted on the Digital Photography Review site. The 5400 is the successor of the 5000. It still has the best things of the old model like excelent Macro capabilities (1 cm minimal distance) and the Flip-out and twist LCD monitor. I think I would highly like the new mode-dial witch I find to be more user friendly then the software menus.

When I was looking for a digital cam I planned to to buy the CoolPix 5000. Unfortunately, the supplier was out of stock and I came home with a CoolPix 5700. My reasoning was that I needed a small camera for snapshots, which I could always take with me and the 5700 was somewhat bukier. However, the additional zoom (8 times) and electronic finder make it a much better choice then the 5000.

Looking for a great Christmas present idea? If you looking to get into Digital Photography first you need to pick up a digital camera. Their are two basic types of digital cameras theirs the standard point and shoot cameras and digital SLR cameras. The best of the two is the digital SLR however their is a big cost difference. If you a professional photographer your probably looking at Digital SLRs and if your just looking for a good Sony Cybershot or Canon SD300 camera you should research the models and review them making sure you select the one thats right for you. If you are thinking about getting your Disposable digital Camera make sure to check the sellers feedback rating before bidding on the camera you have decided on.
