South American wine

October 15, 2003 | Comments (0)

I couldn’t resist at the national wine days and bought a few boxes of American wine. I like zinfandel very much but the box I bought, Estate Cellars Zinfandel by Inglenook, is just so so. Its not bad its not very good. I think this one is missing something…

The other 2 boxes were south american wine. One is an argentinian Malbec. Since my first introduction to Malbec by a french guy who had worked in argentinia, I liked this wine. The Septima 2000 from Mendoza, which I bought, is also very nice. As I’m definately not an authority on wine, I cannot tell you about tall the different flavours. I can just tell you that its good…eeeh that I like it.

The other box is a wine from Chile. I’m not into chilian wine untill now. A collegue got me his favourite chilian wine, Errazuriz. Errazuriz is the premier wine estate of Chile. We got the cheapest ‘version’; a Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon 2001 from Rapel Valley and its wonderfull. You have all kind of tastes in your mouth even after you swallow it…
