Nikon D70 test: Chasseur d'images

March 16, 2004 | Comments (0)

The first real test is out. It’s the 6 page test of the famous french magazine Chasseur d’images. \

The biggest cons of the system were the lack of compatibility with old AI-S lenses, compatibility with old flashes and the small view finder.

The pros are lots and starrating is almost 5 starts in all categories:

  • Excelent exposure with sb600/800.
  • Top AF and excelent change between auto and manual focussing.
  • Even noise is rated 5 stars. Although the canon 300D seems to have a bit less noise, you need to keepin mind that the D70 starts shooting at ISO 200.
