Windows on the MacBook!

According this article on MSNBC, Windows will most likely run on Apple’s new hardware.
“That’s fine with us. We don’t mind. If there are people who love our hardware but are forced to put up with a Windows world, then that’s OK.” — Phil Schiller, Apple’s senior vice president of worldwide product marketing

Microsoft also signed a five year deal to develop Office for Mac because they wanted to state that they still support Apple now they are switching to intel.

Update: The Mactels may not be able to run current versions of Windows due to the fact that the computers will boot using the Extensible Firmware Interface (EFI), rather than a traditional BIOS (current Power PC Macs use Open Firmware). EFI is not supported by Windows XP, but will be by Vista. So we might have to wait a year…
