Pixels are the new Pies

Pixel charts are the new Pies. Pie charts are used for decades to show percentage or relative information.

Instead of the circle, a grid of 100 pixels, ten by ten, is used as 100%. The different colors denote the different portions.

I t seems not a really unique display method as there is already a Wikipedia article about this thing officially called a treemap.
