wPhone OS

Microsoft is trying to do better with their phone OS. They are going to call it Windows Phone 7. They are probably inspired by Apple iPhone OS and the successfull Windows 7. Two of the most dramatic things are the the two biggest complaints people have with the iPhone OS (with peopel I mean people not using an iPhone).
  1. No multitasking
  2. Appstore with Quality Control
The big question is fi you need multitasking. I had it on my previous phone, the Nokia E51. but to be honest it was sometimes difficult to manage a number of runnign apps. After a year I found out that keeping the home button pressed showed up the task manager.A bit ridiculous to have that on a phone. The iPhone has the important apps running in the background (music, sms, phone, mail and notifications). I think this is enought as starting up the browser shows exactly where I left. Sometimes you feelsomething is missing here when copying information between apps and youhave loads of clicks to transfer a few fields but luckily that happens tjhat often. And the plus is that I use all apps full screen. A windowing environment is not that productive until you get something like parrallel windows with a scaled up, 10 finger, multitouch keyboard. Interesting, lets see how Android and webOS go in the future…
