Nikon Coolpix L1 (6kb)
“The compact digital camera delivering higher quality, 5x optical zoom capability, and an impressive array of functions.”

The Nikon Coolpix L1 is a strange thing. I have no clue where to pisition this camera or camera-range — assuming there will be more L-Series cameras. I don’t think L denotes “Light” as the camera is not lighter then other Nikon cameras. The CoolPix L1 features a powerful 38-190mm Zoom-Nikkor lens. This camera also has two AA-size batteries so it looks like Nikon is changing from dedicated batteries to everywhere available AA’s. Also the 2.5inch LCD seems getting the standard…

“the COOLPIX L1 is a lightweight compact digital with the power to stand out from the crowd”
